New York, NY- Dream Theater is well-known for cutting edge progressive metal and exceptional musicianship,but it is their amazing live show that continues to draw and build their rabid fanbase. Atlantic is pleased to bring this experience into the homes of fans everywhere with the release of Dream Theater - Live At Budokan on both DVD and CD on October 5, 2004.
Dream Theater - Live At Budokan is a 2-DVD set featuring nearly 3 hours of brand new footage. Disc One is a brand new full live performance recorded on April 26, 2004 at the infamous Budokan in Tokyo, Japan. The track selection spans the band’s entire career, including songs from 2003’s “Train Of Thought” and showcases the group’s technical expertise. Disc Two is packed with special features such as a tour documentary containing interviews and performance/lesson footage, the tour opening video and a multi-angle version of “Instrumedley.”
As a companion piece to the multimedia experience, the audio of the entire Budokan performance will also be available as a 3-CD set, sold separately from the DVD.
With their progressive metal style and exceptional musicianship (learned at the Berklee School of Music) Dream Theater grew to prominence with their MTV hit "Pull Me Under" in 1992. They developed a fan base that remains with them today-especially when it comes to their mind-blowing live shows, now introduced here in 5.1 Surround Sound.
