New York, NY - Eagle Rock Entertainment presents one of Europe’s pioneers in electronic music with the release of Tangerine Dream - Live In America 1992 on DVD on September 21, 2004.
Founded in 1967, Tangerine Dream made huge steps in the world of atmospheric new age music. Through several lineup changes over the course of their career, Germany’s Tangerine Dream managed to garner 7 Grammy nominations and influence the wave of electronic and dance artists over the past decade.
Live in America 1992 was shot while supporting the then-recently released Rockoon album and is more of a visual montage of Tangerine Dream’s music and an accompaniment to their show than a live DVD. A wide array of colors, textures and psychedelic visuals escort the music created by the performers on stage.
The 1992 tour in support of Rockoon, Grammy Nominated for “Best New Age Album,” introduced the duo lineup of Edgar & Jerome Froese for the first time. Tangerine Dream would continue in this capacity until the present day.
