New York, NY (October 27, 2004)- Eagle Rock Entertainment continues to deliver high quality live concert experiences on DVD with the release of Steve Hackett- Once Above A Time on November 22, 2004.
Recorded earlier this year in Budapest, the performance showcases Hackett on tour in support of his most recent album To Watch The Storms. Once Above A Time combines songs from throughout Steve Hackett's careerincluding classic Genesis tracks "Blood On The Rooftops" and "Firth Of Fifth", early solo material such as "Ace Of Wands" and "Spectral Mornings" and more recent compositions such as "Mechanical Bride" and Darktown". Steve Hackett- Once Above A Time features Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound and includes "Backstage in Budapest" segment as bonus material.
As a member of the classic Genesis line up, Hackett joined the band in 1970 and his complex and distinctive guitar playing was an integral part of their success on albums such as Foxtrot, The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway and A Trick Of The Tail. He released his first solo album, Voyage Of The Acolyte, in 1975 while still a member of the band before going strictly solo in 1977. He has now released a total of 21 solo albums covering the broad continuum of rock to classical.
