New York, NY (May 17, 2005) – Eagle Rock Entertainment and Eagle Vision, the exclusive label for the Live at Montreux DVD series, move to the front of the vaults to present two recent performances from the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival. George Clinton and Parliament / Funkadelic ~ Live at Montreux 2004 and Nile Rogers & Chic ~ Live at Montreux 2004 hit the streets May 31, 2005.
George Clinton & Parliament / Funkadelic delivered a profound two and a half hour performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2004. P-FUNK's jam-packed stage of singers, dancers and musicians dissolves the boundary between performer and audience with their classic fusion of r&b, funk, soul, psychedelic rock and groove. Not only does the show feature long-time keyboardist Bernie Worrell, but also special appearances by Spearhead's Michael Franti on vocals and Montreux Jazz Festival founder Claude Nobs on harmonica.
George Clinton & Parliament / Funkadelic were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 and were ranked #6 on the 50 Greatest Bands of All Time list in Spin Magazine.
Bonus features on the DVD include outtake performances from the 2004 performance.
