New York, NY- To every medium there is a master, and to the guitar there is Yngwie Malmsteen. The musical virtuoso will at last nourish the appetites of his followers by putting out his first domestic release in three years with Attack!!! on January 13, 2004 through Epic Records.

More an orchestral composer than a metal axe-man, Yngwie Malmsteen released his first album, Rising Force almost 20 years ago. Grammy-nominated in 1984 for “Best Rock Instrumental Performance,” the album also earned Yngwie "Best New Talent" and "Best Rock Guitarist" from Guitar Player Magazine.

A true originator who has influenced thousands of guitarists, Yngwie’s animated playing style is only surpassed by the unconventional sounds that exude from his white stratocaster. In the early Eighties, he introduced rock guitarists worldwide to sweep arpeggios, harmonic minor and diminished runs while offering glimpses of his Bach and Paganini influences in chord structure and melody. In the early Nineties, when the advent of grunge put an end to the careers of many 80’s metal bands, Malmsteen soldiered on and maintained his stronghold.

Twenty albums into his career, we find Yngwie still reinventing his instrument and sound with Attack!!! Self-produced by Yngwie in his Miami studio, Attack!!! features Dougie White on vocals, Derek Sherinian on keyboards and Patrick Johansson on drums. The U.S. release will feature 2 bonus tracks, the new instrumental “Battlefield” as well as “Dreaming,” recently recorded live during the European ATTACK tour.

The track list for Attack!!! is:
1- Razor Eater 9- In The Name Of God
2- Rise Up 10- Freedom Isn’t Free
3- Valley Of Kings 11- Majestic Blue
4- Ship Of Fools 12- Valhalla
5- Attack!!! 13- Iron Clad
6- Baroque & Roll 14- Air
7- Stronghold 15- Battlefield (BONUS)
8- Mad Dog 16- Dreaming (BONUS) (LIVE)

Yngwie has just finished another triumphant U.S. outing with fellow guitar heroes Joe Satriani and Steve Vai as part of the G3 Tour. Expect Yngwie back on the road early next year. Yngwie Malmsteen’s Attack!!! is out January 13, 2004 on
