New York, NY- Locomotive Music is pleased to announce another set of hard rocking imports with the release of Eyes Of Shiva’s Eyes Of Soul and a self-titled album by Circus on October, 26, 2004.
Hailing from the Sao Paolo area of Brazil, Eyes Of Shiva deliver engaging melodic metal with orchestral accompaniments in their debut album Eyes Of Soul. After landing licensing deals in Asia and South America earlier this year, Locomotive Music, intent on not missing the boat, signed Eyes Of Shiva for Europe and North America.
Eyes Of Soul has a bombastic, hard rocking sound reminiscent of Shaman and Stratovarius, while also combining progressive themes, orchestral arrangements and even the local folklore of their native land.
Eyes Of Shiva is guitarists Renato Mendes and Ricardo Gil, vocalist André Ferrari, Gustavo Boni on bass and drummer Ricardo Longhi.
Founded in Madrid 1998 and formerly named "Contradiction," Circus was influenced by the afterpunk's sounds of the early 80s, bands such as Bauhaus and Killing Joke.
In 2002 the band adopted the name Circus, continued to break ground in the underground metal scene and ended up opening for Metallica in their home town the next year. After recording the demos in LA, Circus signed to Locomotive Music and recorded their self-titled album, the first under their new moniker, at Sonora Studios. The resulting album is a blend of melodic guitar rock and Spanish vocals, a multicultural metal opus.
Eyes Of Soul by Eyes Of Shiva and & Circus’ self-titled album hit the streets October 26, 2004 on Locomotive Music.
